I can only take so much Francis Chan. Not because he is annoying, but because the Holy Spirit has a way of taking his words and messing me up.
Example #1:
First the set up....
"If someone spent some time on a deserted island and only had the bible to read. If they read it cover to cover a bunch of times and then were rescued. Then with incredible excitement they walked into your church expecting to find the people and community described in the pages of the bible."
Then the knock down punch...
"Would they find what they were expecting?"

Example #2:
Catalyst 2008 when he said something like this...
"I had this massive church and by any contemporary measurement was a successful man but I was haunted by this scene I imagined. A scene where at the end of my life when I met God face to face I sheepishly pointed to the 1000's of people in my church who kind of liked Him. After a few months of being haunted I made an internal change which resulted in many external leadership changes. It all came from the realization that I'd sooner face God being able to point to 30 people who were 100% passionate in their pursuit of discipleship and 100% in love with Him than 30 000 who kind of liked Him."
So instead of sleeping I am sitting here praying that PAC would become more and more recognizable as the true UPSIDEDOWN community we read about in the bible.
Praying there would be 30 PAC people who are not hobbyists who are fond of God like they are fond of playing golf or a medium rare steak - but who see Him as their EVERYTHING.
Praying that I would be 1 of the 30.
